2-component cartridge wins two packaging awards

The jury of the German packaging design competition and the world packaging organization supported their decision to give Fischbach these prestigious awards as follows:

"Fischbach has provided a unique solution for dispensing two component expansion adhesives and foams. Fischbach?s design allows two non-compatible product components to be stored in separate compartments and mixed at the point of usage.

The new design boasts a collapsing inner cartridge that folds up as the cartridge is extruded. The special design of the plunger extrudes both the inner and outer chamber of the cartridge, guarantees that the cartridges is completely emptied without any residue on the cartridge walls.

The cartridge also includes some convenient features for the end-user, including a groove on the tip to guide the user to make a cut that will open both chambers at the same time. These thoughtful design features ensure that the two-component packaging option can be handled as easy as a standard cartridge."
